While the song itself is not out yet, a viral video was released on YouTube yesterday where Zlatan raps that his friends are yahoo boys.

Details: A year ago, a bunch of YBNL signees got into a social media exchange with 100 Crowns rapper, Blaqbonez, who criticized them for singing about internet fraud and other vices.

A few months later, Olamide and Lil Kesh released the outrageous single, 'Logo Benz,' about the then infamous scourge of pant stealing, in relation to occultist rites.

A few days ago, UK-based Nigerian singer, Naira Marley stirred the pot of outrage a little further, and declared slavery a supposed validation for internet fraud, and then backed up his claims with the national problems currently confronting Nigeria.

The internet has still not settled in the aftermath of his moments of dynamic madness. Interestingly, he also had ample support from his fellow artists like Davido (supposedly "phoneless" for one month), Oladips, Zlatan Ibileand so forth.

Due to the virality of the conversation he has incited, the braided 'Japa'crooner has seemingly decided to capitalize on the issue by releasing a song explicitly titled, 'Am I a Yahoo Boy?'

The single is set to feature his supporter and troll, Zlatan Ibile. This is what people mean when they say the proverbial, 'Own it with your chest.'

While the song itself is not out, a viral video of the recording session with Zlatan and Naira Marley present was released yesterday.

Victor AD Speaks On Cost Of Recording A Song In Nigeria

Nigerian musician, Victor AD has stated in a recent interview that it is not cheap to record a song in the country.

The 'Wetin We Gain' crooner made this known while speaking with Ghanaian celebrity Journalist Attractive Mustapha.

Victor AD also spoke about his background, stating that he comes from a poor family had no money to even promote his hit track after a friend in recorded it for him.

He further revealed that the song got popular after he released it on social media, where people started playing it and sharing it on other social media platforms.

The singer while emphasizing that recording a song is not cheap in the country, said it was easy for him because a friend handled his recording.

The singer who maintained that 100% of what is in the music was his true life story, also revealed that he grew up in a ghetto with a poor family. He said;

"I grew up in Delta state after I left delta state I was in Lagos to make it and I couldn't make it like as I expected so I had to shift till I had the opportunity to record this song which has pushed me to the level that I am in now ".

Rudeboy Rolls Out Video Of ‘Reason With Me’

Nigerian award-winning singer, Paul Okoye, famously known as Rudeboy has come through with the video of his latest single tagged ”Reason with me”.

In the song, the former P-Square singer narrates the struggles a couple went through.

He explains that some ladies are usually able to stay with their man through tough times until he would probably make it, while others are not able to endure.

Rudeboy further explained that some of these girls cannot be blamed if a guy hustles and treats his woman right, then the lady may be able to stick with him, but if he is lazy and expects her to stay.

Davido Overthrows Wizkid On Twitter

DMW boss Davido has overthrown Staboy boss Wizkid to become the highest followed Nigerian celebrity on Twitter.

Wadup9ja360 gathered that the "IF" crooner has now reached large followership of over 4.65 million on the microblogging website.

Davido had also become the most followed Nigerian celebrity on Instagram with followers of over 10 million.

The singer was the first celebrity to reach 1 million, 2 million, 5 million and 9 million followers on Instagram.

His hit song "Fall" was the first Nigerian music to hit 100 million views on Youtube.

Both Davido and Wizkid are above the 4 million mark, with 4.65 million & 4.61 million followers on Twitter, while on Instagram they have 10.4 million and 7.3 million followers.

Wyclef John is proudly Naija and he is letting the world know this.

Wyclef who announced to the world via his Twitter handle that his DNA test revealed he is Nigerian decided to solidify his ancestry by jumping on the viral #fvckyouchallenge.

The Afro-Haitian who once ran for president says that his DNA test revealed that he is 100% Nigerian.

About 85% of Afro-Haitians are from Africa. While there are groups from Central Africa and the rest of West Africa, people from the Benin Kingdom and Yoruba were also transported as slaves to the Caribbean nation. In addition to this, a part of their culture is of the Igbo origin.

Falz releases video for “Hypocrite” featuring Demmie Vee

NIGERIA music star Folarin Falana, a.k.a. Falz has dropped the official video to his latest single, "Hypocrite" featuring Demmie Vee.

The video, which was shot by Prodigeezy is taken from 'Moral Instruction', the 4th solo studio album by FalzTheBahdGuy was posted on his Instagram handle, falzthebahdguy.

The 28-year-old Afropop star, who is a songwriter and actor, began his career while in secondary school after forming a group called "The School Boys" with his friend before his professional career as a music artist began in 2009.

However, he became popular after his song "Marry Me" (featuring vocals from Poe and Yemi Alade), which) won him a nomination in the "Best Collaboration of The Year" category at the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

He was also nominated in the "Best Rap Act of The Year" and "Best New Act to Watch" categories.

The music star also owns an independent record label called Bahd Guys Records and has released his debut album Wazup Guy in 2014. His second album Stories That Touch was released in 2015.

He released 27 as his third studio album in 2017. On January 15, 2019, he released his fourth studio album Moral Instruction.

Falz is the recipient of several awards including 2016 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards, 2016 BET Awards, 9th Nigeria Music Video Awards and 2016 City People Entertainment Awards.

New faith-based movie ‘Joba’ hits Nigerian cinemas

Producer, Biodun Stephen, alongside cast Blossom Chukwujekwu, Enado Odigie, Chris Ihuewa, and co-producer, Christine Osifuye at the media screening

Joba, a new Nollywood faith-based film by Biodun Stephen, has been released in cinemas nationwide.

The movie brings an interesting twist to the faith-based genre which is fast making a return to Nigeria cinemas after years of absence.
Joba captures the travails of a young Christian couple battling between their marriage and faith. Their faith is tried when all fingers point to the husband as the cause of their troubles.

The lead cast, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Enado Odigie, and Chris Iheuwa all attended the film's media screening which held at the Genesis Cinemas, Maryland Mall, Lagos over the weekend.

Other celebrities present were Bisolaa Aiyeola, Woli Arole, Gospel Singer Psalmos, and Senior Pastor of Christ Livingspring Apostolic Church (CLAM) Wole Oladiyun, among others.

The producer said the storyline would appeal to the average Nigerian couple and family irrespective of their religious leanings.
She said, "It connects the viewers to events in their personal lives that question their beliefs, self-esteem, and tenacity. The movie plunges its audience into a very gripping emotional journey on the travails of a young Christian couple battling between their marriage and faith. The faith of the couple is tried, especially when all fingers are pointed to the husband as the cause of their troubles. He must protect his wife who is on the verge of insanity, whilst still managing to keep his faith.

The filmmaker whose previous works include 'The Visit' and 'Picture Perfect' also said her latest movie raises viewers' enthusiasm and expectations to a rewarding high-quality offering.The movie's compelling storyline, storytelling and believable acting by the lead Blossom Chukwujekwu and Enado Odigie make for a refreshing watch.
